Review: Goodness Natural Beauty Lab *

Oh my goodness - that's what you'll be saying if you had the chance to try these babies out! I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but I tend to slap a lot of products on my skin (ie check out my empties), and as such, I enjoy trying the new and the wonderful, and the new and wonderful they are!

Goodness is a New Zealand company that has biodegradable products contained in recyclable packaging. They are cruelty free and apparently organic, although I don't know how that comes into play when skincare is involved.

I had the luck recently to try the Every Week Face Scrub and Every Evening Cream. They come in cardboard boxes with fairly simple packaging, which is what's gorgeous about it, really! There's beauty in that simplicity.

The face scrub comes in a tube with a screw cap that contains 50 ml of product. The scrub itself is very gentle - the base is creamy and contains powdered pumice, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils.

I'm actually really loving this face scrub at the moment! 1.5 pea sized dollop is about all that you need and that is a great exfoliant for rub a dubbing away! It is mildly scented with, I want to say chia seed, and it's really quite inoffensive.

What I really like about this is that the face scrub doesn't strip the skin of the oils while doing it's job, and as such, just leaves the skin feeling refreshed. You can pick this up for an affordable $12.95.

While their face scrub is good, I'll have you know that their evening cream is great! While this does come in a brown glass jar (and we all know how I feel about jars), the packaging is rather cute, with a silver lid and the container being quite solid.

The evening cream contains honeysuckle flower extract, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils. It has a bit of an avocado/chia seed scent and it doesn't linger. I also like that this sinks into the skin easily and leaves the face feeling supple and happy.

This retails for a very reasonable $19.95.

This has been a very positive trial for me and I can't wait to try out the other products in the range! You can find this in a number of chemists, including Priceline.

Can I just suggest as well, that if you should ever have the luck to get your hands on some of these goodies, that you look at the pamphlet in the box? It gave me a bit of a giggle, so have a peek to give yourself a bit of a pick me up!

Have you tried this range before?

  1. Ahh the avocado and coconut oil in these makes it sound really good! I was also quite surprised to see the price, I was expecting them to be a lot dearer.
